几乎没有人怀疑英国歌手George Michael的偶像气质。这名年近四十的男子有着轮廓深刻的脸庞、深邃迷人的眼睛，年轻时留了头卷发，潇洒俊朗；中年后留起山羊胡，剃了头如PRINCE般的短发，成熟性感。上世纪80年代，George Michael刚出道时就一鸣惊人，成为成功的偶像歌手。二十年过去了，George Michael依然无愧于偶像称号，在世界各地，他的专辑依然畅销，爱戴他的歌迷无法计数。然而，George Michael又绝不是位乖巧讨喜的“糖果”偶像。他惹过的“问题”并不比一个骄横的摇滚乐队主唱少。George Michael的音乐生涯里，充满各种刺激要素，引起过各种议论。 乔治·迈克尔（George michael）1963年6 月25日出生于英国伦敦一个希腊移民的工人家庭。George Michael从小就对音乐十分着迷，母亲收藏的三张老唱片被他反反复复地听，正是它们带他进入了以后注定与他相伴终身的音乐天堂。 1975年，George在中学时结识了 Andrew Ridgeley，两人结下了深厚的友谊，携手去开创全新的音乐生涯。1982年，George和Andrew正式组成了“Wham”乐队，他们推出了单曲《威猛轻敲》，《初生之犊，勇往直前》，《坏孩子》，《异想天开》，由于优美易记的旋律，活泼多变的曲风以及生动独特的演唱使得他们在乐坛中名声鹊起。1984年至1985年，Wham进入巅峰时期，他们出版了《非同凡想》，《在你走前唤醒我》，《无心快语》，《她所要的一切》，获得了白金唱片奖。1986年，乐队在英国温布利体育场举行告别演唱会，乐队正式解散，George从此开始单飞。 George的个人专辑《信念》销售量超过1400万张，并有多首单曲打入排行榜前列。1988年，George获得了年度最佳艺术家、最佳流行专辑唱片、最佳流行单曲唱片等七项大奖，个人音乐事业可谓十分成功。 1989年，George的专辑《信念》夺得了葛莱美年度最佳专辑奖。由此George确立了他乐坛一流歌手的地位。1990年，George又推出专辑《听无偏见之一》再获双白金称号。George Michael凭着天赋才华与不懈的努力，无论在Wham时期抑或个人奋斗中都取得了骄人的成绩，受到乐迷们“执迷不悔”的喜爱。
